Toronto-based banking technology vendor Financial Models Company has launched FMCSuite, an integrated asset management platform designed to create a straight-through processing environment.

The new platform offers an out-of-the-box solution for achieving STP, using plug and play components which integrate between front, middle and back office, says Stamos Katotakis, president and CEO of FMC.

A key component is FMCModel 2.1 for portfolio modeling and rebalancing, which is availalbe as an ASP service over a secure Web connection.

FMC recently introduced a wealth management system which will sit on the FMCSuite platform. The company is also planning to introduce trading and portfolio management components.

FMC, which has approximately 90% marketshare among Canadian asset managers, is understood to be contemplating the establishment of a national virtual matching utility - along the lines of Omgeo and GSTPA - for the Canadian marketplace.
