ExoSonic and SavaJe Technologies have jointly developed a wireless application, Galileo, which provides mobile access to quotes, fundamentals, charts, news and instrument search from the Reuters Investor Service.
Galileo runs Java 2, Standard Edition (J2SE) applications on the SavaJe XE platform and is powered by ExoSonic's J2EE components residing on an enterprise application server.
Yuri Valazza, managing director of ExoSonic, comments: "SavaJe XE, by supporting a J2SE environment natively, provides the fastest and most complete Java platform for porting our component-based platform, based on the J2EE open standard, to a mobile device."
ExoSonic and SavaJe plan to roll out the first version of Galileo in March 2002.
