Brainpower, a Neuer Markt-listed provider of investment analysis and decision-support software tools for the investment community, has announces the purchase of its Top Funds decision support tool by the Italian asset management subsidiaries of Axa Insurance, Generali Group, and Societe Generale.
The three institutions say they will deploy the system for fund evaluation, portfolio construction, weighting and monitoring.
More specifically, the Italian asset management division of AXA will also use Top Funds when supplying economic consulting to other financial institutions. Societe Generale Asset Management in Milan will be employing the analysis tools in the management of a soon to be launched fund of funds. From the firm's Rome headquarters office, Generali Asset Management will exploit Top Funds for deep quantitative analysis of their mutual fund portfolios.
The technology is database-independent and operates in a client/server environment.
