Online municipal bond trading site eBondTrade has shed its proprietary trading and investment banking model to allow its established Internet distribution network to become an alternative trading system (ATS).

By adopting an ATS mode, eBondTrade opens the platform to all buyers and sellers of municipal bonds.

"We believe our evolution to the ATS model makes us the largest such entity in the country, in terms of daily volume and speed of client inventory turns," says Alan Andreini, CEO of eBondTrade.
