The security software, a component of the ValiCert Financial Express family, will be used by Barclays to develop trust-based services through the exchange of digital signatures at the portal's SafeZone.

"Our SafeZone service, which combines ValiCert' Document Authority with
our Identrus membership, supports our business-to-business e-commerce
proposition by removing the most problematic barrier to e-commerce for our
customers - lack of trust," says Rachael Atkinson, acting CEO, Barclays
B2B.com. "We chose to partner with ValiCert because of its PKI expertise,
including a strong affiliation with Identrus, and we look forward to working
closely with them as we extend our SafeZone service."
