International depository Clearstream International has launched CreationConnect, a suite of new connectivity products to link customers to its real-time clearing, settlement and custody platform Creation.
CreationConnect will offer ClearStream users a choice of three communications channels, including a Web-based system (CreationOnline), server-to-server links (CreationDirect), and Swift connectivity (Creation via Swift).
The new channels offer access to consolidated information from the Creation Platform including online querying against instructions and positions. The system also conforms to the new ISO 15022 message standard, obviating the need for users to support multiple formats.
Karl Van Gestel, executive director, product development, connectivity says Creation via Swift will support the new ISO 15022 formats from late November when these messages will be generally available on the interbank network.
"At same time we focus on making the transition as easy as possible for our own customers by providing simulation test environments and by supporting in parallel ISO 7775 and new ISO 15022 formats to the individual specific requirements of our customers. This dual support will continue for a long as both message formats are available on the Swift network," he says.
