Belgian investment firm de Buck & Cie has partnered digital authentication systems vendor Vasco to provide customers with secure remote Internet access to portfolios.
Using Vasco's Digipass authentication tokens, customers of de Buck & Cie can log-in to their applications online. Once activated, the handheld Digipass generates a random, one-time password, which replaces the traditional username and password pair. The Belgian investment bank has also installed Vasco's Vacman Controller, to secure its network. This automatically handles login requests from any users authorised to have a Digipass token.
JM de Buck van Overstraeten, CEO of de Buck & Cie, says: "The Digipass-Vacman combination offers an affordable solution that is easy to implement for our IT managers as well as for our end-users, and supplies the flexibility that will enable us to provide transactional security with digital signature capabilities in the future."
