Co-operative Bank creates 100 IT jobs in North West England

The Co-operative Bank is hiring more than 100 IT and digital specialists in its North West England base as part of a major technology investment plan.

The bank is planning to overhaul its online and digital capabilities in a multi-million pound five-year programme.

As part of this, it is hiring for a range of roles, inviting applicants of all levels of experience, from graduates to seasoned professionals. Experience in IT or financial services is not essential for all roles.

The Co-op is also looking to attract applicants from all backgrounds and will hold a special 'open doors' event on 8 May in Manchester, where interested people can drop in to find out more and talk to current employees.

Mark Record, IT and change director, Co-operative Bank, says: "We’re excited to be able to open our doors to both fresh talent and seasoned professionals with a range of backgrounds and skill sets who may not have worked in IT or financial services before.

"We are at the start of our transformation journey and with our series of recruitment events we want to bring in the best and the brightest from across the North West and beyond. We’ll be investing in our people for the long term to help us achieve our vision."
