Staffware automates claims handling process

UK business process management firm Staffware is to deliver workflow templates for the claims handling process for non-life insurance companies.

The templates automate all areas of claims activity from notification, opening, investigation and payment through to closing and recoveries. They also provide the ability to manage the claim through all of its phases and improve the communication process between all interested parties, including the claimant, broker and third party suppliers, says the company.

Trevor Salmon, director of financial services practice, Staffware states: "We saw a real need for best practice process management templates for claims handling applications that shorten process cycles, reduce costs, increase client satisfaction and ensure that companies comply with industry regulations -but without the often significant cost of developing such applications from scratch – followed by on-going heavy maintenance costs.”
