Mercator upgrades Integration Broker

Mercator Software has released version 6.0 of its Integration Broker product, offering a single platform for integrating both Web-based and EDI transactions with enterprise systems, and for integrating applications throughout a financial institution.

New features of the product include:
* design productivity enhancements that manage integration implementations and complex data structures, support project management activities for collaborative development, and graphically track changes to system data structures;
* B2B interaction support for international standards such as XML, coupled with global transaction support for connection to external transaction managers;
* operational management, monitoring, and security facilities that maximize system integrity throughout FTP exchanges and other integration processes; and
* real-time event management using an event agent to trigger back-office responses to Web-based customer or partner requests.

Mercator beta customer Gimus Young, of Baker Street Technologies, says: "We are particularly impressed by the level of EDI connectivity in 6.0. Anyone looking for an excellent integration product and for whom timeliness is important should seriously consider Mercator."

David Linthicum, Mercator's CTO, comments: "Version 6.0 lays the groundwork for the next phase of our product development road map, which includes business process integration, expanded standards support, and extended facilities for support of mission-critical systems."

Mercator Integration Broker is available for Windows 2000, Windows NT, Compaq Alpha, Compaq Himalaya, Sun Solaris, Hewlett Packard HP-UX, and IBM mainframe platforms.
