Belgium's Fortis Bank has licensed IntraNet's (formerly known as the corporate banking unit of ACI Worldwide) Money Transfer System (MTS) for payments processing.
The bank will initially use MTS to integrate its disparate corporate electronic payments and settlement processing acquired since the consolidation of the Fortis group, and replace a range of existing applications.
Willem Fuchten, global project manager at Fortis Bank, says: "IntraNet's payments solution will enable us to provide our customers with more efficient processing services while supporting their needs in the global e-commerce environment."
MTS operates on IBM eServer pSeries and is a member of IntraNet's PaymentWare suite of solutions designed to meet the messaging and payment processing needs of the wholesale banking industry.
