Credit Suisse fintech investment vehicle closes $261m fund

Credit Suisse Asset Management's fintech investment vehicle, Next Investors, has closed its second fund at $261 million.

Financial institutions, ultra-high net worth individuals, fund of funds, and family offices from around the world all contributed to the fund, which will seek out minority growth equity stakes in "growth-oriented technology and financial services businesses".

Alan Freudenstein, co-head, Next Investors at Credit Suisse Asset Management, says: "The team at Next Investors has been investing together for over 18 years, and by leveraging Credit Suisse’s broad banking and technology platform, we are uniquely positioned to source and evaluate investment opportunities in financial services technology and to create value for our portfolio companies."
