Financial IT consultancy City Practitioners has appointed ex-BT man Eric Hagan, and Trevor Brown, formerly of TCA Consulting, to its business development team.
Hagan joins CPL as head of business development for managed services and is responsible for building the market proposition and driving sales and marketing activity. Previously, Hagan has been in charge of global outsourcing bids at major banks and, more specifically, led the sales programme for Settlenet (BT Syntegra's Crest network) in competition with Swift.
Brown is appointed head of business development for the consultancy division, and will be responsible for leading CPL's project management teams in the selection, implementation and integration of technology systems for front, middle and back office trading support. Having worked at Unisys developing the settlement systems business in Eastern Europe, Brown moved to TCA Consulting where he assisted with the organisation's strategic growth through to subsequent flotation in June 1999.
