Innovate Finance builds bridge to New York startup community

UK fintech agency Innovate Finance has opened a branch in New York in a bid to forge closer ties between startups in the US and London and create a transatlantic alliance to lobby on policy, regulatory and investment issues.

Earlier this year, the UK agency launched a Transatlantic Policy Working Group (TPWG) in an alliance with marketplace lender OnDeck in an attempt to foster a collaborative dialogue with regulatory bodies in the UK, US, and around the world.

To commemorate the formation of Innovate Finance's new 'East Coast Programme', the TPWG will be convening in New York for its third meeting with the FCA and US policy-makers.

The Programme will be launched with an official reception at the Museum of American Finance in New York City today. Maria Gotsch, president and CEO of Partnership Fund for New York City will deliver a keynote.

Lawrence Wintermeyer, CEO at Innovate Finance says: “The US East Coast plays a special role in the development of the global fintech ecosystem and is a collaborative environment for our members and influencers. Innovate Finance aims to create a programme that can help the community grow on both sides of the Atlantic."
