Once integrated, this latest version of Omiga will support the sales and application process across each of the Coventry's multiple sales channels, which include call centres, branches, Internet, and eventually Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs). Each channel will be able to pass data straight through to its existing back office processing system, and eliminate the need to enter data more than once. Up-to-date information held on customers will then be available at whichever point of contact the customer chooses.

The upgrade will enable the building society to build its own mortgage application processing rules into the administration system. Omiga's point-of-sale module, which replaces an existing in-house sales management system, will make it possible for Coventry to design its own user interface.

In the future Coventry plans to use Omiga to offer an online tracking service for customers to monitor the progress of their mortgage application..
