Pan-European stock markets operator Jiway is to begin trading in Seaq stocks and extend its coverage of US markets with the addition of some 200 Nasdaq stocks.
Winterflood Securities has been approved as a designated market maker on the Jiway exchange and will provide liquidity in the Seaq stocks. Jiway says it will trade approximately 850 of the Seaq constituents, raising the total number of stocks on the platform to 2500.
Additionally, the exchange operator has received authorisation from the Swiss Federal Banking Commission, enabling the admission of Swiss firms as trading parties. Jiway says it will begin adding Swiss stocks in October.
Lynton Jones, Jiway chairman and CEO, says: "The addition of the Seaq stocks, backed by a market maker of Winterflood’s stature, adds significantly to our coverage of the UK market. With the addition of Swiss stocks in October, Jiway is delivering what it promised the retail investors across Europe – a single access point to multiple markets."
