Brazillian exchange and clearing operator Cetip, has selected ePit Systems to provide the technical backbone for a new generation of electronic marketplaces.
Cetip is to implement ePit's Enterprise Exchange Server (EES) product to initially support an auction-style primary market for mortgage-backed securities (MBS), in addition to a continuous-style secondary market for MBS securities.
Rogerio Martins, director of business development at Cetip says the selection of ePit offers flexibility in the face of a rapidly changing industry. "Now Cetip can deploy T+0 solutions with aggressive timelines and customise exchange solutions to meet specific trading policies and procedures," he states.
