Warsaw-based Kedyt Bank is to implement Fair, Isaac's credit scoring software StrategyWare to help assess loan risks across its consumer and small business banking portfolio.

The move by Kredyt Bank to implement the Fair, Isaac system is in direct response to a rapid increase in credit applications. Credit card growth in Poland was up 105 percent and transaction volumes jumped 105 percent in the late 1990s according to the 2000 Global Card Directory.

US-based Fair, Isaac currently works with 13 of the top financial services organisations in Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The company says its revenue from work in the region has more than doubled since 1998.
