Paris-based Oberthur Card Systems has launched a consulting arm, Oberthur Advise, to work with companies on smart card projects.
The consulting arm will take a modular approach to assist companies throughout the project life-cycle - from auditing the existing infrastructure, selecting cards and devices to project co-ordination and training.
Martine Guignard, director of Oberthur Advise, says: "Oberthur Advise has been created to provide sound advice, guidance, and project management to companies wanting to leverage the power of smart technology to benefit their business."
Tailored packages include EMV migration, UMTS migration, guidance on public key infrastructure (PKI) and smart card personalisation in the financial services and mobile telephony markets.
The consultancy will initially operate out of its Paris base with a view to opening up more branches elsewhere later on.
