San Francisco-based GetSmart has added two new services - Auto Insurance and Search for a Broker - to its online financial service marketplace.
The GetSmart brokerage search tool allows consumers to specify their online brokerage requirements and search for companies in the GetSmart network that best meet their needs. Using GetSmart proprietary tools, consumers can research, profile and make side-by-side comparisons of a brokerage firm's capabilities.
Consumers can review details of customer service hours, clearing and background information, fees and wire information, and account types. Additionally, consumers can research commissions charged on different products, such as stocks, options, and mutual funds.
GetSmart's Auto Insurance service enables consumers to obtain online quotes from a panel of national and regional auto insurance companies. The insurance service is powered by GetSmart strategic partner Answer Financial in a co-branded environment.
Consumers can view and compare quotes, save quotes for future use or start an application. There is information available to help consumers understand how insurance works, as well as tools and calculators to help determine the amount of insurance coverage needed. Consumers can also customise their coverage and take advantage of discounts and tips for reducing their premiums.
"With thousands of Web sites available offering financial information, consumers have become overwhelmed. Often, they are not sure where they can go to get quotes and comparison rates from reliable, unbiased companies," says Lauri Kober, CEO of GetSmart. "Our insurance and brokerage search services have made sifting through this clutter faster and easier while building long-term relationships with consumers."
