US money management firm Putnam Investments has named Philippe Bibi senior managing director, chief technology officer.

Reporting to Tim Ferguson, senior managing director, head of investments and technology, Bibi will be responsible for all aspects of systems infrastructure and development and technology integration.

Bibi joins Putnam from Houston-based Enron Corporation, where he served as managing director and chief technology officer. He was also president and chief executive officer of Enron Networks, a commercial organisation offering e-commerce solutions, including EnronOnline.

Bibi was previously senior vice president of global systems for Lehman Brothers. He also held a number of positions with Bankers Trust Company.
