Baltimore wins six new banking contracts

Baltimore Technologies is reporting six new digital security contract wins in the European banking sector.

HypoVereins Bank in Germany, Staalbankiers in The Netherlands, Zagrebacka Banka in Croatia, Allied Irish Bank and Anglo Irish Bank in Ireland and Dexia Bank in Belgium have announced plans to implement Baltimore's solutions to safeguard customer and employee online transactions and communications.

Dublin-based Baltimore's products include a range of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) products and services, access control and authorisation solutions, content security (MIMEsweeper) products, wireless e-security solutions, cryptographic tool-kits, security applications and hardware cryptographic devices.

At HypoVereinsbank and Dexia, the Baltimore solution set is being implemented across internal networks to ensure the secure transmission of electronic documents.

Karl Dirscherl, Director, HypoVereins Bank, says: "E-security is a critical part of our internal communications infrastructure, allowing confidential information to be transferred and communicated between our bank branches and departments with the confidence that it cannot be read, altered or deleted."

Aidan Gallagher, executive vice president of marketing and global business development at Baltimore Technologies, comments: "We are particularly enthusiastic about the extension of our business into securing enterprise applications and the continued strong growth potential this gives us in the financial services and other sectors."
