Banks and telcos to debate mobile financial future

Leading banks, telcos, handset device manufacturers and app developers will gather under one roof next month to debate the future of mobile banking and payments services at the first annual MobeyDay conference in Barcelona.

The one-day event on 21 March at CosmoCaixa in Barcelona brings together senior executives from across the mobile ecosystem to discuss the key issues, innovations and roadblocks to the mass-market deployment of mobile financial services.

Bank representatives are drawn from among the world's leading financial institutions, including La Caixa, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Bankinter, CIBC, DNB Bank, Bank of America, and PostFinance.

The programme will also include representation from the Dutch Sixpack collective of banks and telcos, PayPal, and mobile device manufacturer Nokia.

The event will also include a delegate networking area showcasing the latest mobile banking services and products from leading banks, network operators, technology vendors and consultancies.

MobeyDay directly follows the Mobey Forum's Annual General Meeting in Barcelona, assuring a high quality audience of over 250 leading senior mobile executives from banks and financial institutions from across 20 European countries.
