Abbey National Treasury Services (Ants) has implemented Syntegra’s ITS voice trading platform at its recently established branch and regional office in Hong Kong. The BT subsidiary has also been commissioned to provide a full management service for Ants' IT systems within the trading rooom and to roll out its voice trading technology internationally.
The Ants Hong Kong project entailed the fit-out and physical infrastructure for six trading positions and 26 back office positions, providing a technological infrastructure encompassing voice, data, video and IP.
Anthony Haynes, Ants Hong Kong branch chief operating officer comments: "Due to the success of the Hong Kong branch implementation, Syntegra's ITS voice trading technology is also being rolled out to Ants on an international basis."
Traders in Hong Kong are using Syntegra's pV405i turrets with 4 channel speakers, as well as Eyretel digital voice recorders. Syntegra was also contracted to project manage the complete office fit-out and computer room build, including the provision of a digital (MCDN) connection to their PABX, and the installation of dealing desks, a video conferencing system, UPS, network equipment, cabling, PCs, flat panel monitors and other hardware.
