Netik turns to industry veterans for sales drive

UK-based straight through processing vendor Netik has appointed former NatWest Bank executive Bernard Horn to the board. The company has also recruited Gary Linieres, Jim Fowler and Kelvin Lee as part of a concerted effort to ramp up its international sales drive.

Bernard Horn joins the board as a non-executive director. A former CEO of NatWest’s International Business Horn also served as executive director at the UK bank (operations & IT) in addition to having responsibility for risk. Additionally, he was a member of the bank's executive directors committee and trustee of the pension fund, chairman of the group’s US holding company and a non-executive director of Fleet Bank.

Before joining Netik as the new head of sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Gary Linieres was general manager for SunGard epi. Prior to that, he headed up a sales team at Oracle that specialised in risk management.

Jim Fowler joins as managing director Asia Pacific. He previously was managing director at City Networks Limited in London, after 3 years at Hoskyns, Singapore (now Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) where he also served as general manager.

Kelvin Lee also joins the Netik team in Singapore as regional head of sales. Lee joins the company from wireless outfit Finesse Alliance International where he was vice president of commercial services. Prior to that position he was a senior systems consultant for IBM focusing on systems integration in the financial sector.
