DrKW extends market sentiment forecasting tool

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), the investment arm of Germany's Dresdner Bank, has launched an extended version of its market sentiment forecasting tool, PIA (Price-Information-Advantage).

PIA is DrKW’s interactive analysis product that uses real-time financial data to identify, track and spot changes in market sentiment. It was first launched in March last year by Max Knudson, director, DrKW, and former head of fixed income analysis at UBS Warburg.

The new service offers triple the graphic ability, wider functionality and five different PIA versions by asset class or currency, says the bank. In addition to covering the European and US bond markets, the upgraded product also covers foreign exchange, money markets and commodities.

The flagship service is the daily product published the night before the next day’s opening - users will receive one of seven customised interactive emails delivering a guide to the likely trading environment for the following day. Every Monday they will also receive both weekly and quarterly forecasts on sentiment in their selected asset-class or currency.

Users may also have access to Techworld, a new Web-site accessible via the DrKW Online Markets portal, where they can access the whole range of PIA forecasts for 18 markets across the three time frames.
