PayWare Guardian features two distinct product modules, PayWare Guardian TA (Transaction Authentication) - which supports proxy card numbers and real-time authorisation verification for issuers - and PayWare Guardian SA, Trintech's SET Authentication module. The security suite is able to support emerging payment industry security standards, biometrics, and smart card technology, says the company.

George Burne, chief technology officer at Trintech, says: "Our PayWare Guardian TA security module offers issuing banks an off-the-shelf proxy card number and transaction verification solution. One of the main features of this solution is that it does not require merchants to change their existing transaction processing system."
