The solution offers centralised market risk analysis via extensive FEA analytics, flexible database connectivity, risk calculation modeling, and server-driven reporting capabilities, says the company.

VaRworks SE will be powered by the company's latest value-at-risk (VAR) analytic program VaRworks 4.0.

According to VaRworks SE product manager David Gumpert-Hersh: "A key feature of the solution is FEA’s proprietary VaRdelta technology, providing unmatched drill-down capabilities for precise identification of the enterprise’s sources of market risk."

He also highlights other aspects, including:
* the opportunity for users to build and apply ‘what-if’ scenarios to revalue portfolios using the latest stress testing methods;
* toolkits which speed multi-database connectivity and the production and distribution of customised back-, mid- and front-office risk reports; and
* the integration of the FEA VaR engine with the Whitelight Analytic Server from Whitelight Systems to speed data access, ensure security, and connect to multiple client interfaces.

Gumpert-Hersh joined FEA from Microsoft where he was product and project manager for the worldwide treasury department, a division of the software company that includes front-end analytics, trade processing and back-end accounting solutions.

Craig Brown, a senior manager of Deloitte & Touche’s Capital Markets Group says: "We have overseen many VAR integration projects and I was amazed by the manner in which VaRworks SE reduced the time required to complete such an implementation. Rapid deployment and improved ease-of-use for clients are just two of the potential benefits."
