Findata provides a database of financial equity data for quoted companies in the Nordics. The customised indexes are mainly used by members on the OMX Nordic Exchange and larger institutional investors in the Nordic region.

OMX says the company has revenues of Skr17 million, with "significant profitability" for the full year 2006.

Commenting on the acquisition, Hans-Ole Jochumsen, president, information services and new markets, OMX, says information services is a growing and profitable part of the OMX business.

"By acquiring Findata, we will be able to further develop our information services to the benefit of the Nordic Exchange and its customers," adds Jochumsen.
