UK IT services firm Microgen has appointed Elizabeth Sipiere as managing director of banking.
As well as joining Microgen's financial services division Sipiere will become a member of the vendor's operating board.
Sipiere was previously at Swedish technology group OMX where she was president of the banks and brokers unit. OMX said in August last year that it was selling off the division to focus on its marketplace business.
She joined OMX in April 2004 from financial markets consultancy Buttonwood Tree where she was chief operating officer.
Sipiere is also a former head of HP's capital markets business and CEO of failed order routing vendor Interbizz Financial Systems.
