Brokat releases upgraded banking package

Brokat Technologies has launched version 2.0 of its Consumer Banking product which enables financial institutions to offer 24-hour personal finance management to consumers through online access to cheque, savings, credit card and loan accounts.

The upgrade promises advanced features such as a consolidated view of all accounts, access to services from browsers, mobile phones, and PDAs, and a customised user interface.

The 100 percent Java and J2EE compliant application is based on Brokat's Enterprise Server. The server enables the consumer banking application to run on Windows NT and all major flavors of Unix, scaling from the smallest to the very largest installations, says Brokat. It is designed to support an ASP multi-bank environment.

The product has already been implemented at top 30 US bank, Charter One Financial. Charter One has additionally licensed Brokat's Wireless Banking and Small Business banking applications, which it plans to roll out in coming months.
