Erste Bank is teaming with T-Online Hungary, the largest Internet service provider in the country, to launch Klikkbank, an online banking service aimed at retail and smaller corporate customers.
Under the agreement, Austria-based Erste Bank will provide financial services via T-Online's Web portal.
Customers will be able to access bank accounts, apply for loans and purchase investment funds using the service, which is thought to be the first Web banking service to launch in Hungary.
Péter Kisbenedek, president and CEO of Erste Bank, told reporters that the bank expects to sign around 10,000 customers a year to the online Klikkbank service.
