Thomson Financial has appointed Citigroup's Bill Krivoshik as its chief technology officer.

Krivoshik previously served as the global head of technology for Citigroup's global investment management business sector, as well as the global head of operations for the bank's life and annuity business.

Prior to this he was chief information officer for American International Group (AIG) and also held senior posts at GE Capital, NYNEX and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

In his new role Krivoshik will oversee key operational initiatives, including network and technical operations, data centre management, quality assurance, the content group, business information systems and Thomson Financial's Bangalore technology team. He will report to CEO Sharon Rowlands.
