Brief: Temenos reports record growth in first half

Back office systems supplier Temenos claims to have won 25 new contracts for its Globus package in the first half of 2000. During the same period, the company added 240 employees, two distributors and opened six new offices says vice chairman Kim Goodall.

The value of the new contracts signed during the period was over $40 million, says Goodall. New customers include Commerzbank, Raiffeisen Zentral Bank (RZB), Bank of Queensland and Arab Banking Corporation. In addition, the company also expanded its contracts with existing customers including Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust, Banco Santander and European Financial Group.
