Barclays Private Bank signs for Rhyme back office software

Barclays Private Bank has contracted with UK-based Rhyme Systems for the supply of the vendor's back office system Quasar 6.

The vendor says its Quasar product enables wealth managers to distribute and process vital information, both internally and externally.

Andy Colman, Quasar 6 implementation manager, Rhyme Systems, says: "A key area for Barclays is data distribution, which is vital for supporting its complex business operations.

"In the future, the intuitive interfaces and consolidation of functionality offered by Quasar 6 will allow much more rapid implementation of new data extracts and queries."

Rhyme Systems was formed in 2003 by a £20 million MBO from Misys Asset Management Systems, funded by private equity firm Primary Capital. Under the deal, Rhyme acquired the Quasar back office system along with Fiscal settlement technology.
