Integral exec to lead Principia e-commerce team

Principia Partners has appointed former Integral and Barclays executive Alex Stevenson as director of electronic commerce services. Stevenson brings over 25 years experience in financial software development to the company, which is looking to extend its capital markets analytical solutions set to the Internet.

Prior to joining Principia, Stevenson was IT director at Integral, where he was involved in developing the software that drives the multi-bank FX network portal Atriax.

As IT director of eCommerce for Barclays Bank, Stevenson was in charge of the design and build of the UK bank's Internet procurement solution, BarclaysB2B.com, in partnership with Oracle and Arthur Anderson.

He also founded the Internet research company Moran Research, which developed a technique for analysing the digital economy using benchmarking capabilities. Stevenson is also a founding member of the UK Internet Council.
