Standard Chartered Bank is rolling out CR2's BankWorld technology to manage its ATM network in India.
CR2 says its BankWorld ATM system web-enables the self-service channel allowing companies to offer customers additional services over cash machines.
Shalini Warrier, head of shared distribution, consumer banking, Standard Chartered Bank, says the bank will use the technology to add services such as bill payment and mobile phone top-up via the ATM.
Warrier says the new mobile top-up service is particularly ideal for the Indian market, where 70% of mobile phone subscribers use a pre-pay service.
Standard Chartered will also use the software to connect to the Cashnet shared ATM network in India.
