Brief: HNC and Nestor settle legal dispute

The legal battle between the two firms commenced when HNC Software lodged a patent-infringement claim against rival Nestor. ACI subsidiary Nestor hit back, alleging that HNC's patent was invalid and that the company was engaged in ‘anti-competitive, exclusionary, predatory and illegal conduct'.

The terms of the settlement are confidential and all claims against both sides have been dismissed.
