Mitsubishi Trust International switches to Reuters Knowledge

Mitsubishi Trust International, (MTI), a London-based subsidiary of Japan's Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corporation, has signed a three year contract with Reuters for the supply of a Web-based research and analytics desktop application based on the vendor's Knowledge For Investment Management product.

The desktop system will provide MTI's investment advisors and analysts with access to proprietary information and fundamental data as well as external research, including Reuters' News and Pricing, Estimates and Fundamentals services.

David Pike, head of international research at MTI's investment advisory division, says: "We were keen to develop an Internet-based platform that would become the central resource for our fund advisors and analysts. We saw this as the primary delivery and repository system for our in-house research, which would combine external research and information with our in-house views."

Reuters has supplied similar platforms to firms including Aegon, Morley, MeesPierson, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and Schroders Investment Management.
