UK building society Northern Rock is implementing Fineos' imaging and business process automation software, Banking Front Office, across its credit and savings divisions.
The first phase of the implementation has been completed and enables documents to be scanned, indexed and routed with appropriate tasks to the bank's corporate-wide administration and sales staff.
Under phase two, the bank will deploy Fineos Process Composer to define and update business processes, embed auto-decisions and comply with process rules. As part of this workflow process, the bank will use electronic forms to securely capture, store and retrieve structured data and automatically route tasks.
Lesley Sewell, operational director, IT, Northern Rock, says: "The key bonuses for Northern Rock in this project are the improvements in efficiency and reductions in costs that an automated and paperless environment will deliver.
"With the Fineos solution in place, we can reduce transaction cycle times and the costs associated with each transaction."
Northern Rock has been using Fineos' CRM product at its telephone banking operations since 1998.
