Canada's Laurentian Bank has implemented Expertus Technologies' recently launched STP payments suite, Monetis.
Monetis is a J2EE-based multi-lingual, multi-currency and multi-time-zone application.
André Richard, assistant vice president, international operations, Laurentian Bank, says the deployement of the platform is the first phase of the bank's payment automation project.
"The next phase of Monetis will enable us to improve both STP and customer service, while reducing operational risk and costs," says Richard.
Jacques Leblanc, CEO of Expertus says globalisation, compliance requirements and implementation of XML standards will force firms to migrate to a more
flexible architecture: "We have designed our solution to specifically meet those new realities. Monetis is currently available on Unix, Linux and Windows operating systems."
