US telecomms firm Infonet has implemented its IP platform at Luxembourg's Banque et Caisse d'Epargne de l'Etat (BCEE) to provide connectivity to interbank messaging network SwiftNet.
Infonet says the access system for BCEE combines the security of a private network with the flexibility of the Internet, allowing high value messages to be passed over its managed MPLS IP network.
Tom Goerens, SwiftNet migration project manager at BCEE, says: "Like all global banks, we strive for optimum network security and end-user support."
Infonet teamed with local partner P&T Luxembourg to complete the IP implementation.
