UFJ International signs for Buttonwood Tree's managed market data service

UFJ International, the London-based investment banking arm of United Financial of Japan, has signed up to Buttonwood Tree Group's outsourced market data management service.

The Buttonwood consultancy launced its market data optimisation (MDO) service in April last year.

Buttonwood says a review of UFJI's market data environment identified potential cost-savings of over 25% of annual budget. The consultant has implemented Market Data Services' ASP service, Inventory Management Solution MDS2000, at the bank to handle data management processes.

Paul Hartwell, COO, UFJI, says Buttonwood Tree has helped the bank to identify areas for cost-savings in content usage and invoice/vendor management.

"By having continual access to experienced staff on a managed service basis, we are confident that we will be able to sustain these cost savings without losing any quality of service," says Hartwell.
