Sweden's Neonet is connecting its real-time equities trading and execution system to SunGard's Transaction Network (STN).
STN is an open, electronic global network that links financial services firms for transaction automation and straight-through processing (STP).
The connection with Neonet will provide STN clients with direct market access and execution services - through a single FIX connection - to Nasdaq, Nyse, Amex, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Oslo stock exchanges. Clients can also choose to send orders to be worked on NeoNet's international trading desk.
Paul Schneider, group chief executive officer of SunGard Financial Networks, says: "Our clients will enjoy and appreciate NeoNet's flexibility in either directing orders to a staffed international trading desk, or choosing to execute directly in the broad range of marketplaces offered."
Neonet users will also be able to use the link for reciprocal access to STN's products and services.
