China Development Bank is to deploy System Access' flagship product Symbols to support its regional banking operations.
A Chinese version of the Symbols system will be used to support the bank's lending, deposit, treasury and trade finance operations at its head office and across its branch network.
Symbols will also provide enterprise risk management, a centralised customer data repository and a data warehouse. The application will also interface to other financial institutions in China. The vendor says the system will be integrated with Oracle's OFSA (Financial Services Applications) product.
Leslie Loh, chairman, System Access, says: "This project is very strategic for System Access as it is our first win in China."
System Access will also provide staff training. The vendor's local partner Digital will provide the bank with implementation - along with System Access - and ongoing support services.
