Iris recruits for London trading offensive

California-based trading solutions supplier Iris Financial has named Steve Husk as global senior executive in charge of the company's new London operation.

Prior to Iris, Husk held senior positions at Infinity Financial Technology, Oracle and Sybase, covering UK and Europe.

His appointment comes as Iris opens two new offices, in London and New York, and is backed by the recruitment of other sales and professional services personnel. Supporting Husk in London are Kevin Galliers, who joins from SunGard Trading and Risk Systems and Patrick Burdett, who joins from Anderson Consulting, now Accenture.

Galliers has been appointed as vice president for global sales and marketing and will be responsible for recruiting a sales team; growing distribution channels to incorporate local partnerships; and developing business across global markets. Burdett has been appointed as global practice director and will be responsible for leading the professional services division.

John Bradbury, who joins from Principia Partners, has been appointed global marketing director. Bradbury will work in the New York office and will be responsible for marketing communications and providing a local knowledge base of the US markets.

Jeremy Evnine, founder of Iris comments: "Our history of using component architecture to deliver rapidly developed and customised solutions to the world's largest banks; coupled with this new experienced senior executive team, will allow for a new phase of growth for Iris. The opening of new offices means we can offer high quality local support to our clients."
