UK consultancy Practiv has unveiled In-Site, a new suite of ISML and XForms products designed to lower development, distribution and processing costs for product providers and distributors in the insurance sector.
Recently adopted by Friends Provident, In-Site components can be deployed across multiple channels including extranets, Internet, call centres and direct sales. Based on XML and Origo messaging standards, the technology integrates front and back offices and offers a customisable interface for each insurance provider.
Steve Young, e-commerce manager, Friends Provident, says the Practiv package was selected following a review of the latest form rendering technology with a view to rolling out a new extranet-based online service to the intermediary market.
"With approximately 70% of our Investment Bond business currently transacted online, it is important that our service is underpinned by reliable, flexible and robust technology," he says. "The In-Site product....will enable Friends Provident to respond to customer and market demands more quickly than our previous service allowed."
Practiv is demonstrating the software to delegates attending Finexpo RFT, the one-day retail finance and technology show organised by Finextra in London today.
