Swift gets its groove on with Spotify playlist for Sibos

Swift's bid to get down with the new generation of hip young gunslingers shaking up the banking industry has manifested in a Spotify playlist curated by SibosDJ.

The interbank co-operative has been appealing on Twitter for a song to play at the closing plenary of the event which takes place in Geneva next week.

With just days to go before the big bash, Swift has put together a list of 24 songs on the music streaming service.

Quite why 'Brown Eyed Girl' by Van (the man) Morrison is topping the charts is beyond us, although the appearance of Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer' might play well with bankers facing up to imminent extinction from fintech disruption.

There's also the usual mix of money-obsessed song titles from the likes of Abba ('Money, Money, Money') and former Wall Street man Aloe Blacc ('I Need A Dollar'), among others.

Maybe SibosDJ will flip 'Money's Too Tight To Mention' by Simply (in the) Red onto the turntable as a special shout out to the central bank of Bangladesh?

Finextra's vote for the most classic Sibos song of all time - and one yet to make the list - has got to go to dubbed out madman Lee 'Scratch' Perry and the peerless Grooving (aka Bank to Bank) from the 1986 era Battle of Armagideon album.

Seriously, we defy anyone to come up with anything that can beat this. Vote now!

New car, caviar, 4-star day dream,

Think I'll buy me a football team.

No Pink Floyd for the Sibos crowd?
