GE Capital creates 300 IT jobs at New Orleans tech centre

GE Capital will open a technology centre in New Orleans, Louisiana, creating 300 IT jobs over the next three years.

GE's financial services arm says it will start hiring in the second quarter for the new site, which will open in mid-2012, "developing innovative new software, processes and technologies".

Martha Poulter, VP and CIO, GE Capital, says: "Information technology is a critical part of how we compete in the marketplace and support our key stakeholders. The New Orleans Technology Center, a first for GE Capital, will be a valuable asset for the business, giving us more capabilities and new talent to win."
