Madoff trousers iPads

Fashion conscious financiers can now keep their iPads safe in $500 cases made from the trousers of convicted fraudster Bernie Madoff.

Web designer John Vaccaro is selling the cases through the Frederick James site after snapping up trousers and jumpers at an auction of Madoff goods held by the US Marshals Service.

The clothes have been cut up and made into iPad covers which are selling for between $250 and $500, complete with a certificate of authenticity.

Vaccaro told the New York Post that the first five, made from a Christian Dior sweater and Bergdorf Goodman cardigan sold almost immediately, explaining "a Wall Street lawyer wanted to give them as Christmas presents".

With Madoff languishing in jail, serving a 150 year sentence for his multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme, his worldly possessions have been auctioned off to raise money for his thousands of victims.

At one recent sale, a mystery bidder secured 14 pairs of the crook's boxer shorts for $200 dollars.
